a few days after my sister and i got home, we went to a hotel for a relaxation get-away!

we went to the Royal View Hotel in the New Territories, near Lantau island where the airport is. funny enough, the hotel we built UNDER one of the connecting bridge to Tsing Ma Bridge.

we stayed under the Ting Kau Bridge, it is the world’s first major 4-span cable-stayed bridge.  and we can see the Tsing Ma Bridge from our rooms as well
although the view was great, and strange to be under te bridge.. the most disturbing thing is that the rooms are tiny! they don’t even have a bath in the room… it looks like a bed and breakfast.. and i would say, Alan’s B&B is much more comfortable~~

but my family had a great time! lots of photos~ here are the pics..

on Saturday 28th, Udo and i finally managed a house warming party.. it takes so much time just to prepare the flat.. we ad to buy a table and some shelves, sorting everything by assigning a place for it..its a nightmare sometimes, believe me. it was hard work to put everything in place (where we can find it again)

we invited all the neighbours from our floor to our party, also our dear friends, but sadly, only one neighbour turned up (only because he met one of our friends in a pub and came together) hopefully we will meet more of our neighbours..

despite the lack of new neighbours.. all of our friends managed to be there. it was a fantastic night, thank you of you that came and celebrate with us.

hello everyone! you can’t imagine how busy the past few months have been for me.. in fact when i say i am relaxing, i still have loads to do!!

i am backin HK or a holiday, it is extremely hot here.. and humid, i rather have the gale force wind and crazy raining weather in Glasgow.. HK is too humid and due to the buildings there is no wind within the city.. it is horrible, everyone gets soaking wet in their own sweat! :S

what’s happening with me??

i think i have a cold, and my throat is starting to get sore..

i couldn’t sleep last night, because of my stupid toothache plus my annoying/uncomfortable splint, which is supposed to ease my toothache

now i have been up all night long, doing my stupid lab reports.. five done and two more to go.

another depressing morning is here.. i have to do the laundry.. i hate that job soo much! couldn’t clothes just have some kind of bio-mechanism on them.. which will decompose the dirt and smelling/colouring bacteria, but still protect the shirt?? then we don’t have to wash them.. saves water, time and money, i wouldn’t mind at all!

the only good thing that is going to happen today is that i don’t have work.. so Cindy, Matt, Udo and i are going to pay a visit to Nando’s, one of my favourite restaurants.. then we are going to make some cocktails at Cindy’s… i am looking forward to that.. but if you ask me whether i have the energy or not then i will tell you i don’t.. i just want to go to sleep..but don’t seem to be able to..

A drunk man who smelled like beer sat down on a subway next to a priest. The man’s tie was stained, his face was plastered with red lipstick, and a half empty bottle of gin was sticking out of his torn coat pocket. He opened his newspaper and began reading. After a few minutes the man turned to the priest and asked, ‘Say Father, what causes arthritis?’

The priest replies, ‘My Son, it’s caused by loose living, Being with cheap, wicked women, too much alcohol, contempt for your fellow man, sleeping around with prostitutes & lack of a bath.’ The drunk muttered in response, ‘Well, I’ll be damned,’ Then returned to his paper.

The priest, thinking about what he had said, nudged the man and apologized ‘I’m very sorry. I didn’t mean to come on so strong. How long have you had arthritis?’

The drunk answered, ‘I don’t have it, Father. I was just reading here that the Pope does.’

Two goldfish were in their tank. One turns to the other and says, ‘You man the guns, I’ll drive.’

A woman takes her lover home during the day while her husband is at work.
Her 9-year old son comes home unexpectedly, sees them and hides in the bedroom closet to watch.

The woman’s husband also comes home. She puts her lover in the closet, not realizing that the little boy is in there already.

Little Johnnie’s neighbor had a baby.

When mother and new baby came home from the hospital, Johnnie’s family was invited over to see the baby.

finally i am able/remember to write…

i have been busy, and a bit stressed with the whole flat hunting business, you see.. there are soo many flats in the city, and looking through all of them is a time consuming act. not that i did such unspeakable thing.. i have viewed a few flats, one of them has a mezzanine(an intermediate floor in between the main floors of a building), which looked amazing, the whole flat was generally great! i had it all planned out, like using the mezzanine as a study, for a desktop and book shelves.. but it was a tiny space though..

i applied for it, but they chose someone else, must be because i am that unreliable student type…

anyway, i moved onto the next one, and the next, they were both far away, and looks like a HOME.. no offence to those who lives in one.. because the flats i have seen are much worse..

then finally, i found a flat in a building that was designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, which i love.. the outside of that building is black, in a glossy way, and all these white/grey windows and walls within stands out like a chess board, only it is more randomly placed. so more about this flat.. it faces south, have one and only one big window, open design.. very spacious! and i took it this afternoon! it is mine, MINE, MINE!

during the contract…that is.. but i just can’t wait to move in, i am sooo excited! photos to follow!

while i am typing this entry, i am eating some very spicy “pepper & salt” steak mince with onions, spring onions, garlic, and some bird eye chillies (hot). but really the beef i get here is different to the ones i get in Hong Kong.. here the meat has a stronger flavour.. a flavour that is somewhat similar to lamb.. for those of you who know how much i hate lamb will know really how much i hate it… i guess it is just what they eat … must be different.. but it still taste great.
